Tonight we dined outdoors! Our first of many this season I hope. On Sunday afternoon, Rob and I went over to Granny's to pick up her patio table and chairs. Since relocating to her retirement home, she no longer has a need for them. It is a really nice set, and has hardly ever been used. On Monday, Mom zipped back up to Granny's to retrieve the matching umbrella - that truly had NEVER been used.
Tonight, I finally took a few minutes and cleaned off and shined up the table a bit, wiped down the chairs, and put up the umbrella. It is a perfect fit on our little patio...and much better than our old beat up resin stuff! After grilling up portabella burgers and some veggies, we dined on our new table, and enjoyed a very lovely evening in our own backyard.
Thanks Granny...we will put your patio set to very good use, I'm sure of it!
