Day 11

Look...snow!  I know we are only technically a few weeks into winter, but this certainly was a surprise, and wasn't in the forecast for today!

Bre texted this morning on her way into the office and said it was snowing.  I thought she was pulling my leg, because there had been no sign of snow when I arrived.  But I checked the window, and sure enough it was really coming down outside.  Within a matter of minutes, the parking lot, streets and cars were covered.  It snowed for about an hour or more, giving everything a coat of sparkling white.  Then the sun came out, melted it all, and it was like it never happened!

Day 58

Really? Snow? Really?

This is what we woke up to this morning. A light dusting of the white fluffy stuff. It started around 10:30 last night with a little sleet, followed by some pretty big flakes. It coated everything just enough to make our yards pretty, and unfortunately the concrete and asphalt slick as snot.

I realize technically it is still winter, but I really thought we had turned a corner and were headed into spring! Maybe this is Old Man Winter's last gasp?!?

Day 18

And it just keeps snowing!

Our first significant snowfall of the winter finally arrived. It started snowing around midnight, and it just keeps coming. This is a shot outside the front door of the office.

They are predicting 3 to 7 inches, and I think we must have at least 3 already...it's a little hard to tell with it blowing and drifting. The ride into work was a little sketchy, but I arrived safe and sound none the less. We'll have to see how the day goes, they say there is more to come, followed by rain, freezing rain and more snow??

Where was Old Man Winter at Christmas when we really wanted the fluffy stuff??

Thanks Snow Much

I can't believe two months have come and gone in a flash. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's are only memories...and now back to the norms of everyday life. This is a Thank You card I made for a few folks to express gratitude for wonderful Christmas Gifts. Hopefully this will get my juices flowing, and the creativity will return, and you will see many new posts soon!
